Bilal Abbas as the fastest rising star

Read time: approx 5mins Bilal Abbas is potentially the most loved actor in recent times as he continuously smashes his own previous performance records. I think Bilal Abbas has proven to show his range in his work through a multitude of different projects all within the first 8 years of his career. I think he was very lucky to have been given lead roles very early on in his career. He is a fine example and role model to youngsters looking towards joining the showbiz industry and working from rock bottom to fame (without nepotism) through his finely-picked project choices that really add to his portfolio of versatility. Let's walk through some of his different projects and performances and really look at how he's reached the level he has today. Okay, so my first Bilal Abbas drama was Cheekh back in 2019. Here we see him opposite a very high-calibre cast which includes Saba Qamar, Emmad Irfani and Aijaz Aslam . However, I definitely think he was able to make space and ...

ABOUT ME

Hanji dosto!

My name is Jannah and I'm so glad you've found my page 😊

Welcome to my little corner on the very big Internet where we can just chill with our chai and critically discuss all about our Pakistani showbiz industry! You'll find mostly drama reviews here but also articles relating to:

  • Telefilm & Pakistani movie reviews
  • Celebrity news
  • Celebrity weddings
  • Award shows
  • Music
  • Fashion

What's your story behind the blog?

I've been very very passionate about my Pakistani dramas since 2015 and I've watched over 50 dramas now (but still re-watch my favourites every year). I feel I've developed a close eye for detail and the ability to understand what elements make a good drama.

I began watching the award shows in 2017 and very much disagreed with the awards that were presented in certain categories. I really want to be part of the jury panel/critics that decides the winners! I feel like my opinions are justified and worth being heard.

Recently, I've met many people online who I've discussed my opinions with about the latest dramas and I like to create a form of debate. I love to recommend people dramas to watch and I love it when someone has watched an underrated drama that I love!

In December 2021, I grabbed the lucky opportunity to meet my favourite actor- Feroze Khan! I've religiously followed him since before the Khaani hype and never miss his dramas. Oh but never did I think I would be able to talk to him in person! We sat down and I mainly interviewed him about his work life which he responded to carefully and appreciated my style of questioning and how interested I've been in his work since the start of his career. Then it really hit me afterwards when I watched back the recording of my video, what I asked him, how I asked him, and how he responded that I really want to DO something proactive in this field. A week later, I was still practically watching the video every day and then well I got covid and was stuck in my room isolating and I thought I love reading Fuchsia magazine reviews and watching the interviews...how about I try this? Well, here we are!

My celebrity interactions:

  • Feroze Khan (2019): He announced a Meet n Greet with his fans and sat down with me and I interviewed him for 5mins
  • Zahid Ahmed (2024): Met at the 9th HUM Awards Red Carpet and had the chance to fully interview him for 5mins
  • Sami Khan, Bilal Ashraf, Syed Jibran, Azfar Rehman (2024): Met at the 9th HUM Awards and brief chat
  • Dananer Mobeen, Mahira Khan, Farhan Saeed, Atif Aslam, Mawra Hocane, Urwa Hocane, Ali Ansari, Samiya Mumtaz, Bushra Ansari, Javed Sheikh, Hiba Bukhari, Ahmed Ali Butt (2024): saw up close at the 9th HUM Awards
  • Humza Ali Abbasi (2024): Hosted a charity event where I interviewed him via Zoom (video call)
